  • Video camera pipe inspection: One of the most useful tools that our plumbers have is our video camera pipe inspection equipment. This piece of equipment uses a small camera that is connected to a long wire. Our technicians feed the camera down in your home’s plumbing system so that they can find any small clogs or leaks that might be occurring there. Not only does this help them more precisely target their cleaning which saves them time, it will also allow them to check their work.
  • Pipe Wrench: A pipe wrench is a large heavy wrench used to tighten pipes, fittings and nuts. They usually have serrated teeth to make sure they are able to tightly grip the pipe without slipping.
  • Basin Wrench: A basin wrench is used to adjust the nuts that hold sink faucets in place. It’s specially designed to fit into deep, narrow spaces.
  • Drain Snake: A drain snake is a flexible steel cable with steel auger bit on the end. It is used to clear clogs deep down in your drain pipes. There are a few types and sizes for use in the different drain pipes in your home.

Some of the less common equipment we use is for trenchless pipe replacement. For this type of job there are a couple different methods. Pipe relining involves basically inflating a new pipe inside the old one. We pull a deflated pipe through the old one and then inflate a bladder inside of it so that it sticks to the old pipe and hardens. The other method involves forcibly dragging a new pipe through the old one which destroy s the old pipe completely. We use a pneumatic pump that pulls a pointed metal cap through the old pipe leaving you with a nice, new pipe behind it.
