I am a new customer, having come home yesterday to a leaking hot water heater and the resultant flood and water damage. I called Henderson and was told by the lovely receptionist that someone could come out in the morning at 8 am as another customer had to reschedule. This was a very stressful situation for me as I had some damage to my wood floors and I felt so frightened. Steve showed up at 8 as promised ( with a call from the office to let me know he was enroute and I could tell from meeting him that this was indeed the right decision. He was so polite, did the work that needed to be done without a hitch and gave me a lesson I needed on how to work the new safety feature. The one and only thing I wish could have been different was the size of the pan underneath the hot water heater. It is very large and my space is very small. I understand most hot water heaters are in the basement but perhaps Bradford-white could come up with a smaller one for condensed spaces. This, of course, has nothing to do with Steve's performance. I am glad I signed the maintenance agreement with Henderson. I hope it is Steve or someone just as diligent who comes out to inspect and service my home in the future.

I had been using my A/C System - without any problems - up to the day of my scheduled furnace inspection. The inspection went well - no problems noted. After the inspection, the weather remained warm and I had no requirement for heat for about a week - then one night the weather turned cold - down to the low 30's. I set the room thermostat on heat and 70 degrees. I though the furnace was running, but after awhile there was no heat. So I checked the furnace and it was warm, but the blower was not operating I turned the thermostat to "off". piled on a few blankets and slept to morning when I called WH. The WH serviceman determined that the Induced Draft Motor needed replacement. The unit which was not in stock and had to be ordered was estimated to cost about $700.00. I purchased the unit and when it was delivered and installed, the WH serviceman who installed it advised that the blower motor was noisey, probably bearing wear, and was drawing more than normal current. Since the unit is 19 yeas old I agreed to the suggestion that I get an estimate for a new furnace. However, when the serviceman left he said the furnace was running OK but he was concened about the blower motor. Of course, I was already thinking about where to get the estimated $5,000 for a new furnace. He suggested and I agreed to get an estimate for a new furnace. Next the WH estimator arrived - he looked everyhing over carefully, including the A/C unit. We talked about high and higher efficiency furnaces and also that the A/C was old and should probably be replaced at the same time as the furnacae. Very quickly I received by hand delivery two estimates, one for the high efficiency ($8000) and one for the high high efficiency ($10,000). No estimate of cost to replace the existing furnace or possible costs for future repairs of that unit. No mention was made of previous discussion about two discounts - one from Peco and one from government. Needless to say I decided to take a chancae and go with my existing equipment. The weather turned cold again and I turned the thermostst to "Heat" and 70 degrees again - same result - NO HEAT. I called WH again and another serviceman called - he determined that the Blower Motor was a capacitor motor and the capacitor had failed. He replaced the capacitor and now the furnace is running OK. This all started about 9/24. you can imagine what thoughts are running through my mind........Sincerely Walt Schalleur had turned on, but after awhile there was no heat. So I checked he FURNACE and it was warm but the blower waas not running. I shut the unit down, covered up with a few more blankets and slept till morning when I called WH. .

Recently had our 33 year old boiler and 18 year old water heater updated to a high efficiency boiler and hot water maker, relocating both in the process as part of a basement remodel. Henderson was great to work with and the installation was handled very professionally. They arrived on time, were careful to contain debris as well as they could, explained the system operation, and left things clean. They were also very easy to work with to schedule around the rest of the remodel.

He performed all the jobs specified in the estimate and, in particular, did a great job job installing meter valves and a new outside spigot in the front of the house as well as new fixtures in the basement bathroom.
